About the role
You will be responsible for services in the Windows team, support in the further development of the client environment, and 2nd level support for client systems with experience in cloud technologies. You will also support new concepts for improving server operations in cooperation with colleagues.

How you will get the job done
- planning and implementation of Windows Server systems
- supporting Microsoft Active Directory environment and storage systems (NetApp)
- maintaining virtual machine environments (VMware, HyperV)
- setting up monitoring and dashboards for the environment
- supporting further development, planning, and implementation of VDI, Windows 10, and Terminal Server 2019
- troubleshooting complex issues in cooperation with Linux DevOps and the SecOps teams
- assisting the development department with implementations and issues
- developing optimization measures, ensuring quality and availability
Skills and experience you will need
- excellent communication skills in written and spoken English (minimum B2 level)
- technical understanding of complex network and server infrastructures
- professional competence in the area of Windows Server/AD/File Services/GPOs
- experience in Windows environment security, hardening, and monitoring
- good technical competence in virtualization environments (VMware ESX and HyperV)
- experience with Citrix Virtual Apps & Desktops
- experience with using PowerShell
- basic knowledge of Microsoft AzureAD/Office 365
- basic MS SQL Server management skills
- experience with Microsoft Exchange Server
- experience with supporting server hardware
- knowhow in the area of area of Windows Client (Windows 10/11, MS Office, Outlook)
- high analytical skills to identify and troubleshoot complex problems
- knowledge of IT service management processes
- willingness to work in a team and constantly learn new things
Nice to have
- German language proficiency
- completed university or technical college studies in computer science or a technical field or comparable education/training with several years of professional experience
- advanced knowledge of storage systems (NetApp)
- Cisco CCNA certificate
- ITIL certificate
- experience with software distribution and packaging solutions
- experience with ELK
