How you will get the job done
- designing and coding programs and scripts from agreed specifications
- creating technical test cases, executing tests, and correcting bugs
- providing technical documentation for developed components
- executing technical application support
- deploying applications into test and production environments
- installing, configuring, customizing, and integrating standard software
- prioritizing business impact and urgency
- learning new technology and methodology quickly
- communicating with non-native speakers and collaborating in a global environment
- taking over responsibility and showing initiative
- working in an international product team, asking for and accepting help
- applying conflict-management skills
- showing flexibility, resilience, and willingness to adapt to changing requirements
- proactively identifying issues and presenting solutions and options
Skills and experience you will need
- C# and .NET expertise – C# with .NET 4.8, Windows Forms, ASP.NET
- SQL, PL/SQL and Oracle proficiency
- Frontend development skills – HTML, CSS, JavaScript
- Version control experience – TFS/GIT
- Azure DevOps (Source Control & Program Management)
- Cloud technology knowledge (e.g., containers for .NET applications)
- knowledge of general architectural patterns
- knowledge of writing secure software
- knowledge of agile patterns and experience in agile methods
- experience using ReSharper
- excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- 5+ years of development background in design, analysis, coding, bug fixing
- IT technical background and client-server programming experience
Nice to have
- basic knowledge of insurance business and finance processes
- experience with container orchestration
- broader insurance or financial domain expertise
- familiarity with additional productivity or refactoring tools
