About the role

The Senior Actuarial Data Developer will be responsible for developing and maintaining databases, implementing BI tools, and ensuring effective data analysis to support actuarial reporting.

How you will get the job done

• developing and maintaining the databases in MS SQL Server 2022 for Controlling and IFRS17 purposes
• implementing and designing of BI tools and Excel dashboards / reporting tools for Clients
• building ETL processes for input and output of the databases
• understanding the financial reporting systems and dependencies between them in order to derive an appropriate business requirements and prepare business test cases
• collaborating in an international environment within the team (actuarial and IT team members), across teams, and with the Product Owner, in an agile framework
• performing analysis of data and results
• participating in meetings, and maintaining contact with the Clients/Partners (e.g. workshops and project meetings, trainings)
• providing expertise and support
• performing other tasks entrusted by superiors, within the scope of the position, and possessed competencies

Skills and experience you will need

• fluency in English
• a university degree in Informatics, Data Science, or a related field
• at least 5 years of professional experience in a similar IT positions
• knowledge of programming languages e.g. SQL, c#, .NET, VB, Python, SAS or similar, and experience in implementing business IT tools
• professional experience in working with project teams in international environment
• good communication and presentation skills, openness, reliability, and strong analytical thinking skills

Nice to have

• experience in insurance or knowledge of financial reporting standards e.g. HGB or IFRS17
