About the role

As a Senior Application Administrator (SAP Basis and HANA) in ET&S, you will work on implementation/development projects and maintenance support for our internal ERGO projects. You will have a chance to do that within a team that is being newly built but you will work on projects that include close cooperation with our German colleagues.

We are looking for someone who is willing to share the knowledge as an experienced SAP Administrator and wants to have a significant impact on solutions that are being implemented.

How you will get the job done

• SAP Basis administrating on complex HA system landscapes including SAP HANA database systems
• being one of the leading members of the newly created SAP team
• supporting SAP Java-based applications
• optimizing, maintaining and supporting​ the system
• planning, installing, and configuring various SAP products
• installing, updating and commissioning of SAP systems
• performance management in the SAP Netweaver and SAP HANA environment
• database administrating and SQL analysing
• updating/maintaining of the SAP operational documentation​
• technical consulting for SAP projects such as the introduction of new SAP systems, upgrades with database migration, etc.
• processing customer enquiries
• supporting​ 2nd and 3rd level in the SAP Basis environment
• planning, controlling and implementing​ SAP life cycle management (hotfixes, patches, upgrades, releases)

Skills and experience you will need

• fluency in English language (minimum B2 level)
• more than 5 years of experience in a similar position
• more than 5 years of experience working with SAP Solutions
• very good technical proficiency in Linux/Unix operating systems
• willingness to learn new skills and share already gained knowledge
• drive to propose ideas and search for solutions to complex problems
• ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and clients
• analytical and problem-solving skills (e.g. logs analysis and interpretation)
• open-minded personality with a “can-do” attitude

Nice to have

• experience in SAP4/HANA transformation projects
• experience in the administration of SAP BTP and SAP Solutions
• previous experience in the insurance industry
• experience in Python, PowerShell scripting
• SAP certification
