About the role

As a Product Owner within the central reserving division at ERGO Group, I play a crucial role in managing the central IFRS 17 system landscape, specifically for cash flow projections. This position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the life and health business while gaining valuable experience and developing essential skills in the actuarial field.

How you will get the job done

  • contributing to system improvement: assisting in enhancing and developing the surrounding infrastructure of the cash flows generation tool, specifically for our life and health business, gaining hands-on experience in system ownership
  • engaging in maintenance activities: serve as the primary point of contact for system users by addressing and resolving bugs, managing access rights, conducting training sessions on system functionalities, keeping users informed about updates, and enhancing the user manual to reflect the latest changes and improvements
  • supporting requirement alignment: helping to ensure that the requirements for ERGO Group’s central IFRS 17 systems are aligned with the needs of our life and health entities, fostering collaboration and understanding
  • collaborating with IT teams: working closely with IT departments on the implementation and development of our central IFRS 17 system landscape, learning from experienced professionals in the field
  • assisting in testing activities: helping to create and coordinate testing activities, development, and release plans with various stakeholders, gaining insight into the project management process
  • optimizing business processes: contributing to the optimization of global business processes and carry out data analysis, developing your analytical skills and understanding of business operations

Skills and experience you will need

  • advanced level of English (C1)
  • University degree in Mathematics, Informatics or a comparable qualification
  • further training as an actuary or comparable qualifications
  • completed internship in Finance, Insurance, IT or Consulting
  • affinity towards working closely in a technical/ IT environment
  • strong organizational and communication skills
  • ability to work in a team
  • strong analytical thinking
  • willingness to think and act independently, autonomously and entrepreneurially
  • willingness to develop and bring in own ideas
  • resilience and openness to change and innovative working methods
