About the role

As an integral Analytics and Reporting team member, you will support security data systems and regulatory reporting, using Azure-based data and integration solutions. This role will be responsible for building, optimising, and automating data workflows, developing PowerBI dashboards and PowerPoint reports, developing security metrics and supporting senior stakeholders.

How you will get the job done

  • supporting the design, building and implementing of the cyber analytics platform (SPIRE – Security Performance & Insights Reporting Engine)
  • designing and developing automated reporting solutions using Azure/SQL, PowerBI and PowerPoint, providing insight into the performance of security operations
  • designing, testing and executing database changes – implementing and optimising extract, transforming, loading (ETL) workflows for IT risk and security
  • setting up, maintaining & enhancing data pipelines – ensuring the efficient collection and transformation
  • processing and delivering data from disparate sources
  • continuously improving the SPIRE platform (e.g. onboarding new services, automating implementation, enabling contextual self-service reporting)
  • collaborating with stakeholders to define security KPIs and KRIs and creating dashboards that drive security risk and investment decisions
  • transforming complex IT security data sets into clear, actionable insights through data visualisation and analysis
  • leading the development of regional reports to empower stakeholders across the organisation
  • guiding stakeholders in interpreting data and applying insights to security risk and performance metrics
  • designing and preparing effective PowerPoint presentations based on cybersecurity topics and metrics

Skills and experience you will need

  • fluent spoken and written English
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics or equivalent experience in a related field
  • excellent communication, organisational, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • commercial experience in data analytics, business intelligence or a similar role
  • strong background (min. 5 years) in Azure-based data solutions, including data integration, ETL, storage and presentation
  • strong background (min. 5 years) in cybersecurity (highly desirable)
  • ability to work with large data sets in a financial services environment
  • proven experience and expertise in designing and implementing data pipelines and automated reporting solutions using Azure technologies (e.g. Azure Data Factory / Azure SQL / Power BI)
  • expertise in setting up data connectors (APIs and unstructured data) and transformation of results (e.g. with Python)
  • expertise in cloud storage solutions (Azure SQL), including data modelling and querying
  • expertise in developing Power BI applications using Power Query Dataflows and producing high-quality PowerBI reports with advanced DAX and drill-throughs
  • expertise in MS Excel (including PivotTables) and PowerPoint (including excellent visualisations)
  • expertise in implementing effective reporting and metrics programs, including gathering stakeholder requirements and defining KPIs/KRIs using quantitative and qualitative methods
  • proven experience in developing high-quality documentation and PowerPoint presentations, providing insights to enable management decisions
  • experience of developing content for, and interacting with, senior management
