ERGO Technology & Services S.A. (ET&S S.A.) was established in January 2021 following the integration of ERGO Digital IT and Atena into one entity, leveraging both companies’ strengths and best practices. As a part of ERGO Technology & Services Management AG, the technology holding of ERGO Group AG, we support millions of internal and external customers with state-of-the-art IT solutions to everyday problems.

In October 2022, ET&S S.A. expanded its scope of operations by creating a Business Services unit to contribute in a new way to the growth of ERGO’s business. Acting as a co-partner and internal consultant, it adds non-IT value and supports the development of the entire ERGO Group, currently offering skills in reporting, analysis, actuarial, and input management. How you will get the job done

• ensuring appropriate risk management in line with relevant (transnational) legal requirements and ERGO Group guidelines
• managing the company’s risk management function
• developing a risk strategy for the company
• taking responsibility for overall risk management processes, including:
  • identifying and assessing risks, monitoring them, and reporting on them
  • reporting ad-hoc risks
  • maintaining the internal control system
  • monitoring the risk of the project portfolio managed by ET&S S.A.
  • managing business continuity
  • ensuring information and IT security
  • overseeing IT Third-Party Risk Management
• supervising and monitoring outsourcing activities
• communicating and informing relevant authorities about risks
• cultivating an appropriate risk culture within the company and facilitating internal communication
• advising the ET&S S.A. Board and ET&SM CRO on all risk matters
• establishing and maintaining transparent relationships with auditors and regulators in countries where ET&S S.A. outsources IT services
• planning tasks for responsible processes or projects, including resource prioritization
• appointing and developing (2nd Line) Risk Specialists (both non-ICT and ICT) and succession planning within the company
• serving as a Member of the Risk Committee of the company

Skills and experience you will need

• fluency in Polish and English (min. C1 level)
• completed university studies, preferably with a focus on informatics/business informatics or related fields
• at least 10 to 15 years of professional experience in risk management within insurance or financial services companies, or in a consulting firm specializing in IT risk management, preferably within an international context
• strong networking capabilities within the insurance industry and relevant regulatory bodies
• high understanding of regulatory requirements from KNF, VAIT, KRITIS, etc., along with specific expertise in relevant security standards
• high level of leadership skills, including managerial experience, and adeptness in interfacing with various stakeholders
• entrepreneurial mindset with a keen focus on customer satisfaction and high-quality standards
• excellent analytical skills, strategic thinking abilities, and proficiency in decision-making and conflict resolution
• persuasive communication skills across diverse internal and external stakeholders
• empathy, teamwork skills, assertiveness, and negotiation abilities
• high level of commitment, performance orientation, and result-driven mindset
• experience in working within intercultural environments, particularly in Europe and Asia
• strong innovation skills, with the ability to foster innovation among team members
• willingness to occasionally travel domestically and internationally, with confidence in navigating hierarchical boundaries

Nice to have

• relevant specialist knowledge and in-depth organizational understanding, particularly in risk management and ICT, within Munich Re/ERGO Group structures
• certification in relevant areas such as COBIT, CISM, ISO, etc.
