About the role

We work for the financial industry and you will play an important role in a DevOps approach designing, building, and maintaining the systems that underly data-driven decision-making. Your primary responsibility is to ensure the efficient and reliable flow of data from various sources to support business intelligence, investment, and asset management.

How you will get the job done

• developing production-quality software and services, rather than treating analytics and AI as isolated prototypes
• building and integrating APIs and services (streamlit, react, PowerBI application) that expose data, analytics and AI capabilities to applications and business processes
• using Python and PySpark and SQL to implement scalable processing and analytical workloads
• developing solutions using Azure Cloud and Databricks, including appropriate storage, compute, orchestration and AI services
• integrating AI/ML and GenAI capabilities, including services such as Azure OpenAI and Azure Machine Learning where appropriate
• taking ownership of DevOps and CI/CD, including automated build, test, deployment and configuration of workloads
• applying containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes/AKS where appropriate
• engineering solutions for performance, scalability, reliability, security and cost efficiency
• ensuring appropriate data quality, security, governance and regulatory compliance
• monitoring production workloads, troubleshoot incidents and continuously improve operational stability
• collaborating with business owners, analysts, data scientists, architects, software engineers and platform/DevOps teams
• contributing to architectural decisions, engineering standards, code reviews and reusable components

Skills and experience you will need

• fluent English
• at least 5 years of professional experience in software engineering, data engineering, or platform engineering, ideally in cloud-based environments
• proven track record of delivering production-grade solutions in enterprise settings
• strong understanding of software engineering, data engineering, and modern cloud development practices
• experience translating business requirements into scalable, maintainable technical solutions
• understanding of software quality attributes, including security, scalability, reliability, performance, and observability
• strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a pragmatic, solution-oriented mindset
• ability to work effectively across disciplines, collaborating with business stakeholders, architects, engineers, analysts, and data scientists
• proactive, collaborative, and ownership-driven working style
• strong communication skills and ability to influence technical decisions and engineering standards
• feeling comfortable with working in an international environment
