How you will get the job done

  • reviewing the reconciliation of local financial statements to IFRS and Solvency II requirements, ensuring compliance with Group accounting manuals, validating supporting documentation, and integrating findings into ongoing reporting and accounting activities
  • supporting national and international subsidiaries on technical accounting matters, reporting package requirements, and related reporting processes to ensure consistency, accuracy, and timely submission of financial information
  • providing methodological expertise in IFRS and Solvency II reporting, performing quality assurance of Group reporting data, and serving as the primary point of contact for external and Group auditors on related accounting and reporting matters
  • leading and participating in accounting and finance transformation projects, as well as cross-functional and cross-divisional initiatives, with a particular focus on the ongoing application and enhancement of IFRS 17 across the Group (this includes maintaining close collaboration with subsidiaries through regular workshops, training sessions, and on-site visits)
  • collaborating on mergers and acquisitions activities and supporting post-merger integration projects to ensure alignment of accounting policies, reporting processes, and financial reporting standards across acquired entities

Skills and experience you will need

  • fluency in English (C1)
  • university degree in Economics, Business Mathematics, Accounting or related field
  • excellent knowledge of IFRS standards (preferable IFRS 17) and Solvency II reporting requirements
  • SAP knowledge (especially SEM-BCS)
  • specialized knowledge in areas such as actuarial science, taxes, pension obligations or capital investments is advantageous
  • strong analytical skills and ability to present complex accounting issues
  • strong communication skills
  • high degree of independence and responsibility
  • ability to travel to the international entities (both short visits for several days as well as longer visits 1-2 weeks)
