About the role

As a Principal Software Engineer, you will be part of a cross-functional Agile team responsible for prototyping, developing and implementing digital products across the technology stack. The role combines deep software engineering expertise with active involvement in analysis, design, testing and operations to deliver high-quality business solutions.

How you will get the job done

• contributing to solution design activities by supporting Product Owners, Business Analysts and Architects with feasibility assessments and estimations
• developing high-quality code and automated tests that meet business and technical requirements
• ensuring code quality through peer reviews and adherence to engineering standards
• collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver shared objectives
• supporting application deployments and continuously improving CI/CD processes
• creating and maintaining technical documentation in line with agreed standards
• analyzing and resolving incidents, defects and production issues
• participating in Agile ceremonies, planning sessions and continuous improvement initiatives
• sharing knowledge, proposing new ideas and adapting to changing priorities
• supporting recruitment activities by assessing candidates and providing structured feedback

Skills and experience you will need

• fluency in English (C1)
• demonstrating extensive experience in software engineering and product delivery allowing to technically lead teams
• over 7 years of experience as a software engineer and 5 years of experience working with CI/CD and related tools (Maven, Jenkins, Sonar, Git)
• over 3 years of closely working with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure
• communicating effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
• collaborating within cross-functional and Agile teams to achieve shared goals
• taking ownership of complex technical challenges and driving them to completion
• applying a solution-oriented mindset when addressing issues and identifying improvement opportunities
• adapting to changing priorities and business needs in a dynamic environment
• sharing knowledge and supporting the growth of less experienced team members
• providing constructive feedback and embracing continuous learning and development
• balancing attention to detail with a pragmatic approach to delivery

• demonstrating experience in financial services or insurance industry projects
