About the role

As Actuarial Data Scientist you will develop and enhance advanced pricing models, blending actuarial techniques with modern data science. You will work closely with the Lead Actuarial Data Scientist, underwriting experts, and ERGO’s Group Data Science community to deliver AI-enabled solutions that improve risk selection, optimise pricing strategies, and strengthen ERGO’s market position.

How you will get the job done

  • building and refining predictive pricing models using GLM, ML, and deep learning techniques
  • performing feature engineering, data cleaning, and model performance monitoring to ensure accuracy and reliability
  • developing visual analytics tools and dashboards for tracking pricing KPIs
  • translating technical modelling outcomes into clear, actionable insights for business stakeholders
  • collaborating with underwriting, product, and claims teams to integrate analytics into operational decisions

Skills and experience you will need

  • fluency in English (C1)
  • 3+ years of experience in Actuarial Science, Data Science, or a related analytical field
  • proven skills in Python, R, SQL, and experience with ML/DL frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch
  • strong statistical modelling and data visualisation capabilities
  • experience applying predictive analytics in insurance pricing or risk modelling
  • ability to work in cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
