About the role

As a Network Engineer, you will be responsible for the day-to-day engineering of the global production network environments, including all aspects of the Data Centre & Branch Sites globally. This role will require extensive experience with specific technologies to deliver the associated services. This is a technical position requiring strong technical knowledge in conjunction with demonstrating ownership.

• performing advanced troubleshooting of Network environments within a Data Centre environment and office networks
• implementing and managing network protocols and operations
• providing solutions that meet business needs in terms of security
• understanding network design for optimal performance and availability
• developing network solutions with high availability and resiliency
• aligning with vendors around service lifecycles and roadmaps
• managing vendors for production hardware lifecycle
• leading the evaluation of Service Provider technology solutions, technical resources, and capabilities​

Skills and experience you will need

• English proficiency at the B2 level
• minimum of 5 years of experience in IT Operations Technical Engineering positions
• experience with firewalls and network equipment from manufacturers such as Cisco, Aruba, Palo Alto, Fortigate, F5
• proven technical capability in the field of Data Centre management
• background in designing, implementing, and troubleshooting high-density wireless enterprise office networks
• strong knowledge of routing protocols and building tiered network design
• familiarity with network security protocols and firewalls
• knowledge of security measures and troubleshooting methods
• strong problem-solving and communication skills
• the capability of analyzing business and technical requirements, and designing/implementing projects based on defined processes

Nice to have

• German proficiency at the B2 level or higher
• understanding of cloud-based technologies (AWS/Azure)
