About the role

The primary objective of the new Workforce Capacity Planning Department is to organize a workforce planning process that ensures the optimization of resource utilization throughout the organization.

As a Workforce Capacity Planning Manager, you will manage the workforce capacity planning area in the organization, ensuring operational excellence, and optimizing workforce management processes and decisions. By leading the team of Workforce Capacity Planning Experts/Specialists you will provide support to the business ensuring proactive planning, demand forecasting, staffing recommendations, scheduling, and real-time adjustments are made to meet the business goals of the organization.

How you will get the job done

  • designing, building, and implementing a unified workforce capacity planning function at ET&S
  • partnering with senior stakeholders to build a common workforce capacity planning roadmap with critical project aligned
  • collaborating with operational managers/leaders to identify issues, develop and execute action plans to address short and long-term needs/skill gaps
  • balancing capabilities, cost, and utilization of the workforce by recognizing complex problems related to workforce capacity planning objectives and implementing a proper solution in this regard
  • implementing a data-driven approach by collecting, analyzing, and reporting on workforce management data, highlighting key trends to drive proactive solutions that improve operational workflows, reduce risk, and minimize reactive work
  • anticipating, creating, defining, and implementing innovative concepts based on a business units’ strategy for workforce management, focusing on continual improvement of resource deployment processes and best practices
  • controlling and steering demand response by supporting service delivery strategy, solutions development, and services standards
  • designing and implementing programs, policies, and procedures to improve the workforce management function and client experience
  • communicating the company’s direction, policies or decisions concerning workforce planning

Skills and experience you will need

  • fluency in English
  • experience in leading workforce management teams
  • experience in forecasting, capacity planning, and real-time workforce management
  • proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • ability to demonstrate and articulate understanding of key workforce management concepts as related to forecasting, capacity planning, scheduling, real-time monitoring, and performance improvement
  • strong quantitative/analytical skills
  • excellent interpersonal, written, verbal, and listening skills
  • absolute team player who consistently demonstrates respect, inclusion, and an open mind
  • proven ability to coach, drive for results and provide strategic value
  • ability to promote change by influencing and guiding others in a positive manner
  • strong project management skills
