About the role

UX Researcher collaborates with Designers and Product Owners, delivering knowledge and insights about users (their behaviours, expectations and experiences) on every stage of product delivery. UX Researcher works independently on assigned tasks and supports the team with design recommendations.  

How you will get the job done

  • planning and facilitating quantitative and qualitative user research
  • delivering reports and artefacts such as personas, empathy maps and customer journey maps
  • evaluating designs and delivered products with tests, data analysis and UX audits
  • co-facilitating exploratory workshops and design workshops
  • supporting designers with information architecture and interaction design
  • helping Program Managers and Product Owners to define both long and short-term vision and roadmap for digital products
  • promoting User Centred Design within the organisation

Skills and experience you will need

  • conducting research both qualitative and quantitative like surveys, A/B tests, IDIs etc.
  • gathering, analyzing and synthesizing research into digestible insights and conclusions
  • conducting and moderating workshops with various stakeholders
  • excellent communication skills with very good level of English (B2/C1) and German (B2/C1) / written and spoken proficiency
  • support in building a strong UX understanding inside the organization and driving the change to create an organized research infrastructure
  • working alongside product owners and fellow designers to make important decisions based on user demands
  • proactive and solution-oriented mindset
  • 2+ years in UX research in a similar role

Nice to have

  • working knowledge of qualitative and quantitative research methods and analytic tools used to discover user needs and behaviours
  • knowledge of remote-research tools 
  • ability to synthesise gathered data/insights and draw conclusions that lead to design recommendations. 
  • knowledge in the field of User Experience Design, incl. knowledge of UX processes

Portfolio requirement

Tell us about the goals, the context, constraints, the team, your role and your thought process. For each project/case study, please include (where applicable) a bit about:

  • Project background: Set the context for the project. What was the goal of the project? What were your constraints? What was the timeline?
  • Team and your role: What was your exact role? What did you uniquely contribute, and who did you work with?
  • The work: show us the range of what you produced. Research, sketches, wireframes, mockups, screenshots, and a link to working site or app (if possible).
  • Success metrics: Why are you showing us this project? What are you proud of? Do you have any evidence that shows this project achieved its intended goal?
  • Your learnings: With hindsight, and based on the process and outcome, was there anything you would have done differently?
