About the role

We are searching for a Travel Expense Accountant with German to join our global team. In this role, you will be responsible for  processing travel expense reports, providing support for financial closing tasks, and communicating with internal clients and external service providers to resolve operational issues.

How you will get the job done

  • processing expense reports for business trips and combined business/private trips (operational travel expense management) as well as expenses incurred in connection with employee and customer events
  • responding to inquiries regarding expense reimbursements in the course of day-to-day operations
  • supporting closing tasks (quarterly and annual financial statements) in the area of responsibility, e.g. account reconciliation or quarterly spot checks
  • communicating with internal customers and external service providers to clarify issues relating to day-to-day operations

Skills and experience you will need

  • fluency in English and German
  • university degree in Business Administration or professional training with additional qualification as a certified accountant or comparable
  • at least 3 years of experience in the accounting department in an international environment
  • proficient in using SAP-FI, ideally with practical experience with SAP Concur
  • strong commitment, service oriented, independent and self-reliant working style, ability to work in a team and to collaborate effectively also virtually, often in international groups
