How you will get the job done

The Cyber Security Incident Response Team (CSIRT) of the ERGO Group AG will roll out a Compromise Assessment and Rapid Response (CA&RR) tool for various customers. As tool of choice the Thor APT Scanner from Nextron Systems will be used and enable the ERGO Group AG to get a holistic view of current threads and to hunt down potential attackers. Furthermore, the Thor APRT scanner will create new possibilities and capabilities to react to those threads for the whole ERGO Group.


As a subject matter expert (SME) you drive the design, development and implementation of the Global Compromise Assessment and Rapid Response (CA&RR, Thor APT scanner) Service for our business. Your duty as a SME for rollout of the CA&RR service is to assure the correct installation of the CA&RR agents and the CA&RR management platforms for different customer in a multi-international environment. In addition, you will also have to assure that the different components can communicate in a well-defined and secure way. Your main tasks will be

  • support the onboarding of customers to the service
  • alignments with customers
  • organization and implementation of agent rollout for different customers in different environments
  • support of the project manager
  • support of the customers
  • quality assurance and documentation of the architecture and the rollout process
  • support the project in different project phases and assure a save transition to operations
  • development of an update concept which includes the different customers
  • training of operations to assure a save operation of the platform after the project end

Skills and experience you will need

  • fluent in English
  • excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • excellent team-working skills and a strong will to bring things forwards
  • profound knowledge and understanding of Compromise Assessment and the skill to explain it
  • strong network knowledge
  • knowledge of the Nextron System architecture to perform a Compromise Assessment (THOR APT Scanner, ASGARD Management Center and ASGARD Analysis Cockpit)
  • ability to design a secure system architecture for a Compromise Assessment environment and the ability to implement the designed system
  • ability to analyze a complex Compromise Assessment installation in order to identify and to fix errors
  • capability to lead security administrator the way to fix found errors based on own analysis
  • understanding of DFIR process and the connection between DFIR and Compromise Assessment
  • strong organization skills
  • strong interpersonal skills to enable effective interaction with technical and non-technical teams
  • minimum of 5 years’ experience, working in a high-performance team conducting system integration
  • strong knowledge of ITIL processes
  • experience in international environments
  • knowledge of scanning tools
  • experience in high volume environments
  • Bachelor / Master degree in Computer Science, Information Systems Management or equivalent
  • ITIL certification
  • Network management
  • Windows / Linux administration
  • Certifications in the compromise assessment field
  • Certified in
    • CISSP,
    • GCFA,
    • GCIA,
    • GCFE,
    • GNFA,
    • GREM,
    • GCIH,
    • or equivalent
