About the role

Release Coordinator is responsible for company-wide coordination of product releases and changes. As a Release Coordinator, you will ensure all releases and changes are planned in alignment with rules and procedures communicated by Release Management Team (IT ERGO) and security policies.

Release Coordinator supports Information Security initiatives and priorities by working closely with the Information Security Delegate on relevant change management practices and the release coordination for security improvements.

How you will get the job done

  • being responsible for company-wide communication in terms of dates, deadlines, rules and other factors important from the process perspective to assure proper planning and execution of release cycles and individual releases
  • supporting change owners in choosing the proper release type, understanding/negotiating possible release dates, understating the release process as such and helping to reach people and teams necessary to plan release
  • tracking and communicating the release scope and helping determine and understand dependencies between them
  • monitoring all changes in the release scope to assure all needed approvals are in place and on time; in case of not meeting the requirements, Release Coordinator helps by communicating it as a risk to change owners
  • being responsible for planning and execution of production health checks (“PFK”) on the ET&S side
  • acting as the single point of contact responsible for getting the status for all planned deployments and health checks to share further status information according to the schedule
  • being the ET&S single point of contact for the Release Management Team for all issues related to the release process
  • keeping direct and frequent relations with the Release Management Team which is responsible for setting up rules and procedures to stay up-to-date with all changes in the process
  • being responsible for educating ET&S employees in terms of the release process by conducting training sessions (regular and individual), sending/publishing proper training materials, and communicating all changes/issues having an impact on the release process planning, execution and continuity
  • analyzing expectations coming from ET&S Teams towards the release process and based on that proposes, coordinating and implementing improvements approved together with the Release Management Team
  • building and keeping long-term relations with the Release Management Team

Skills and experience you will need

  • fluency in English
  • 2+ years of experience with co-ordination related to IT Projects
  • 2+ years of experience in a corporate IT environment with complex applications and projects
  • IT Management, Computer Science or comparable degree
  • experience with Software Development processes and the overall SDLC
  • good understanding of Information Security concepts and procedures (certification is a plus)
  • understanding of Business Continuity related procedures
  • ability to negotiate with and influence external stakeholders
  • acting as a change agent internally by influencing colleagues in an effective way
  • responsibility for one’s tasks and projects, striving for tangible results
  • cooperation in an atmosphere of mutual respect and appreciation of differing opinions
  • effectiveness and goal-orientation and development of the organization
  • agile attitude understood as openness, improvement of actions, and anticipation of changes

Nice to have

  • German language proficiency
  • software engineering experience
  • ITIL or Security certifications such as ISO 27001, CISSP, ISSMP, CISM and COBIT
  • knowledge of different agile frameworks and agile at scale
  • knowledge of different levels of testing and types of environments
