About the role

The Global Delivery Project Management Office (GD PMO) is the central Project Management Office overseeing the whole IT portfolio of ET&SM across the entire Global Delivery Portfolio spanning over 30 countries where ERGO operates. It provides services to various stakeholder on senior management and board member level, monitors progress of the IT portfolio delivering agreed scope within time and budget, sets governance boundaries and consequently improves the company’s capability to deliver projects by providing guidance and coaching.

As a GD PMO Risk Manager you will oversee determining risk frameworks applied through the whole portfolio in order to identify risks for individual or organization and find ways to reduce those risks through planning and problem-solving. You will also manage research activities such as risk assessment for current company affairs or risk evaluation, which evaluates the company’s handling of risks in the past.

How you will get the job done

  • defining a uniform Risk and dependency framework (RAID) across ET&SM and all tech hubs
  • executing regular risk assessments and contributing to standard reporting in terms of aggregated risk views on portfolio level
  • aligning with ERGO IRM on project and portfolio risks as well as risk framework methodology
  • driving of functional requirements for PPM systems in use in order to facilitate risk reporting and tracking on both project/program and portfolio level
  • performing risk evaluation, which assesses the way the company previously handled risks
  • making risk-avoiding adjustments to current methods of operation in order to minimize their future risks
  • ensuring risk framework awareness and training for the relevant employees, project managers, departments heads
  • preparing regular updates of the Program Integration Forum

Skills and experience you will need

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Administration or a related field with specialization in Risk Management
  • minimum 5-8 years of experience as a dedicated Portfolio, Project or Risk Manager or Auditor
  • sound methodological skills and experience in the application of risk management processes
  • good IT understanding
  • experience in the insurance industry would be an asset
  • advanced knowledge of Excel and Power Point
  • excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to present facts in a comprehensible and concise manner
  • convincing and confident board / MD level communication
  • fluent English is a must, communicative German will be an advantage
  • Professional Risk Manager (PMR) certification will be an asset
