About the role

The Junior Vulnerability Management Specialist supports the organization’s cybersecurity posture by assisting in the identification, assessment, and tracking of security vulnerabilities across systems, applications and infrastructure. This role works closely with senior team members, IT operations, and application owners to ensure timely remediation and continuous improvement of the vulnerability management process.

How you will get the job done

• assisting in conducting regular vulnerability scans
• reviewing, validating, and prioritizing scan results based on severity, exploitability, and business impact
• collaborating with system owners and technical teams to route findings to the appropriate stakeholders
• tracking remediation progress and following up on outstanding vulnerabilities to ensure compliance with internal SLAs
• supporting the preparation of vulnerability reports, dashboards, and metrics for management review
• participating in root-cause analysis for recurring or high‑risk vulnerabilities
• maintaining documentation related to scanning procedures, remediation workflows, and vulnerability management standards
• staying up to date with emerging threats, common vulnerabilities (CVEs), and industry best practice

Skills and experience you will need

• fluency in English
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field
• basic understanding of cybersecurity principles, network fundamentals, and operating systems
• familiarity with vulnerability scanning tools (e.g., Tenable, Qualys) is an advantage
• ability to interpret vulnerability data and understand common security weaknesses
• strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
• effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams
• eagerness to learn and grow within the cybersecurity domain
