About the role

We are seeking an experienced IT Continuity Officer to join our IT team. The successful candidate will be accountable for developing and maintaining the IT continuity framework and ensuring that the IT systems and services of our company are available and reliable during any unforeseen incidents or disruptions. This role will involve working closely with the management team, business partners and external stakeholders to ensure the continuity of our IT services. Operational activities will be performed through a subordinate team of IT Service Continuity Managers.

How you will get the job done

• developing and maintaining the IT continuity framework, policies, and procedures for the company in accordance with industry best practices, and regulatory requirements
• conducting risk assessments, business impact and gap analyses to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities to IT systems and services
• collaborating with the management team, business partners, and external stakeholders to ensure the continuity of IT services and operations during any unforeseen incidents or disruptions
• developing and maintaining IT recovery plans, including disaster recovery, business continuity, and crisis management plans
• conducting regular testing and exercises of IT recovery plans to ensure they are effective and up-to-date
• developing and maintaining IT documentation, including IT infrastructure diagrams, asset inventories, and operational procedures
• coordinating with internal teams and external service providers to ensure the timely and efficient restoration of IT services
• providing guidance and training to staff on IT continuity and disaster recovery best practices

Skills and experience you will need

• fluency in English and Polish
• bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• at least 5 years of experience in IT continuity and disaster recovery
• knowledge of industry standards and best practices related to IT continuity, including ISO 22301, NIST, and ITIL
• strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate potential risks and vulnerabilities
• excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with management, business partners, and external stakeholders
• strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

• relevant industry certifications such as CBCP, MBCI, or CRISC
