About the role
You will be the part of a newly created ERGO Group global team responsible for IT Security. With your ideas and experience you will be able to influence and shape IT Security posture of the whole ERGO Group. While working with a high degree of independence as well as responsibility you will cooperate with other ERGO Group teams as well as subsidiaries around the world implementing state of the art security solutions.
How you will get the job done
- performing the role of Global IT Security Senior Specialist for the ERGO Group and ensuring communication with all relevant stakeholders in particular local IT Security Officers, other Global IT Security teams (e.g. CSIRT, security architects), global information security risk management (2nd line of defense), internal audit, project managers and occasionally data protection, legal and compliance
- specifying, evaluating and monitoring of IT security measures/controls in particular related to subsidiaries and global/cloud projects
- creating IT security risk assessments (based on provided documentation and interviews) which support management (business and IT) with clear description of risk and required IT security measures/controls (both technical and organizational)
- contributing to the definition of global IT security policies/standards to enable group-wide requirements
- overseeing, analyzing and coordinating technical reviews conducted by the ERGO Group, specifically vulnerability scans, penetration tests and risk assessments
- contributing to development and implementating of security tools/solutions in AWS/Azure clouds
- conducting IT security reviews of subsidiaries and global tech hubs for their conformance with global policies and best practices (incl. pentest and vulnerability scans coordination)
- supporting of major security incidents
- consulting ERGO subsidiaries on projects related to IT security
Skills and experience you will need
- English – at least at B2 – upper intermediate level
- university degree in IT, Cyber Security or related subject
- 5 years + of experience in IT / Information Security
- broad experience in at least two of the following areas: IT Architecture, Cloud, Data Protection, Risk Management, Cryptography, Incident Management, Vulnerability Management
- certificates, licenses – one of the following: CISM, CISSP, CISA, CompTIASecurity+ or other relevant, cyber security certifications
- effectiveness and goal-orientation
- outstanding analytical capabilities
- high degree of professionalism
- diplomatic skills
Nice to have
- experience in global, IT security related organizations
- hands-on experience with security in AWS and/or Azure
