About the role

The Global Delivery Project Management Office (GD PMO) is the central Project Management Office overseeing the whole IT portfolio of ET&SM across the entire Global Delivery Portfolio spanning over 30 countries where ERGO operates. It provides services to various stakeholder on senior management and board member level, monitors progress of the IT portfolio delivering agreed scope within time and budget, sets governance boundaries and consequently improves the company’s capability to deliver projects by providing guidance and coaching.

You will be a part of a high-performance team delivering analysis to top management decision makers; besides standard reporting tasks ad hoc analysis is prepared and conducted using up-to-date tools and methodology.

As a GD PMO Manager you will work closely with the GDPMO Lead to provide leadership, organization and coordination to support GDPMO’s key activities, encompassing program planning, governance and project management. You will ensure all projects administered by the central PMO adhere to the best practices and standard approaches for program and project management. You will manage change and promote the continuous improvement of project management related processes guiding project stakeholders in defining project scope and ensuring the effective utilization of resources.

How you will get the job done

  • harmonizing CR procedures across the portfolio and ensure that project dependencies are considered
  • tracing and monitoring CRs across the portfolio and aligning with Demand, Controlling and ESP-Offices on status and progress
  • organizing and coordinating central monitoring activities across the ET&SM portfolio
  • developing and delivering presentations, training sessions and demos
  • providing functional guidance to GD PMO staff and assessing quality of reports generated in GD PMO
  • aligning reporting requirements and input across the tech hubs as well as with other relevant stakeholders (i.e. Finance, Demand, ESP-Offices)
  • consulting on design and implementation of activities in order to support audits



Skills and experience you will need

  • Bachelor’s degree – Computer Science, Engineering, Business or other related disciplines
  • min 5 years of experience in the area of project management support within professional services
  • international and multi-company experience in large organizational structures
  • specialization in transformation projects and PMO
  • expert knowledge in Excel and PowerPoint
  • strong familiarity with project management software tools, methodologies and best practices
  • excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills
  • high skills in managing own work; ability to organize the work of others
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification preferred
  • SAFe Certificate will be an asset
  • fluent English is a must, communicative German will be an advantage
