About the role

Are you looking to develop and continue a long-term career in IT at the heart of the Insurance sector? This is an outstanding opportunity to join an international, diverse team who are driving digital transformation. This strategic role in Product Department is supporting growth and delivery on dependencies and synergies level across portfolio of products. Indirect Sales domain delivers digital solutions to the business cases supporting the sales driven by the middlemen as tied agents, brokers, bank assurance or e.g. car dealers as well as the sales-oriented products from the B2B area.

How you will get the job done

  • line Manager of Product Owners inside the domain; evaluations, managing employee relations 
  • accountable and responsible for recruitment of POs to the domain 
  • create and oversee roadmap of multiple products, work on product vision and growth of the area, product responsibility of digital assets
  • responsible for the Product Definitions made within the given area. Assure alignment on the product vision across the product domains 
  • ensuring the appropriate process is applied in the area (Release or Test Management etc.)
  • coordinate and run Product Portfolio of the given area, supporting POs in the area . Act as an escalation point for the given area for its POs
  • support Project Managers and POs to assure delivery of scope to the programs 
  • mentoring other more junior Product Owners (helping in decision making)
  • participate in software delivery estimations for the new requests in the T-shirt and BIC estimation phase. Main point of contact for new estimation requests
  • sustain optimal relationship with the business as well as transparency in communication to the stakeholders, provide appropriate information (reports etc.) to the appropriate stakeholders when needed 
  • ensure POs engage effectively with their counterpart ERGO IT teams as well as any relevant Business Units
  • lead capacity planning for the PO role taking into account team staffing and project demand, responsible for allocation of POs and Business Analysts in the domain

Skills and experience you will need

  • 5+ years’ experience in Product Owner role or Product Manager
  • experience in people management
  • leadership experience in an international environment and across multiple digital products
  • strong understanding of Agile and proven experience working with an Agile team
  • excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • experience of building a product roadmaps and setting realistic product goals/outcomes
  • excellent understanding of IT systems and products
  • strong knowledge with Budgeting & Estimation
  • experience with delivering multiple products within the tight schedules
  • full command in English

Nice to have

  • full command in German
  • finch industry experience
  • driving organizational change
  • experience in project management
  • hands-on experience with full-cycle recruiting using various interview techniques and evaluation methods
