About the role

In your role, you will use a leading Compromise Assessment and Rapid Response tool to proactively investigate on potential compromised assets. Therefore, you will follow up on indicators of compromise (IoC) and address findings using forensic methods. For these tasks, you will use your forensic & malware analysis skills. In case of a security incident, you will also have the responsibility to support the development and operationalization of a rapid response plan together with the other teams. In addition, you will develop YARA rules based on your analysis, and assure the quality of the threat hunting & the IoC scanning process. Moreover, it is your responsibility to support reporting and alignment with international customers.

How you will get the job done

• managing scans for various customers in the ERGO Group
• developing rule sets (i.e. custom YARA rules) and rapid-response playbooks
• supporting 1st and 2nd level analysis, quality assurance and supervising of scoping activities
• analysing attacks and malware
• defining and applying containment strategies
• presenting results and recommendations for different levels i. e. for upper management, technical teams such as SOC and DFIR
• participating in development remediation measures
• contributing to internal and external reporting
• supporting Service Management for customer satisfaction

Skills and experience you will need

• fluency in English
• at least 4 years of hands-on experience in the IT security area
• network and systems analysis skills
• ability to work in a multinational and complex environment
• ability to present complex facts in a shot for different stakeholder levels
• ability to stay focused, keep calm and work under high stress
• operating system knowledge
• thorough understanding of network protocols, network devices, computer security devices, and secure architecture; system administration
• mastering at least one programming language (ex. Python)
