About the role

We are searching for an Accounting and Reporting Specialist with German to join our global team. The ideal candidate will have relevant accounting knowledge in accordance with HGB, IFRS, and ideally also Solvency II.

How you will get the job done

• preparing, ensuring quality, processing, and analyzing data from individual financial statements
• contributing to the further development of reporting formats and techniques, and fulfilling reporting obligations to national and international supervisory authorities
• assisting in responding to internal and external inquiries, and preparing documents, e.g., in the context of internal and external audits
• maintaining data and ensuring comprehensive quality assurance of the central management system for affiliated companies

Skills and experience you will need

• fluency in English and German
• university degree in Business Administration, ideally with a focus on accounting and/or insurance management or similar qualification
• several years of relevant experience in reporting/accounting, preferably at an auditing firm or an internationally oriented financial services provider
• accounting knowledge in accordance with HGB (or other continental European accounting standards) and IFRS
• experience in reporting to supervisory authorities
• technical user knowledge of relevant SAP systems (e.g., SAP FI-CO, SAP SEM-BCS, or similar) or interest and willingness to learn
• excellent communication and strong analytical thinking skills
• confident use of Microsoft Office products

• accounting knowledge in accordance with Solvency II
